Developer Patch Notes: Profile Animations
Profile animations for certain owned items have arrived!

Hey Era! A while back, we promised players we'd be introducing new profile animations tied to some of the higher-tier items they own, as well as making some slight tweaks to our existing profile animation system to factor in trade-enabled items and remove their associated profile animations on trade-away.

As of today, this feature is now live, and we've introduced some additional tweaks and changes. Starting off, there are now two new animation folders accessible from the drop-down menu: Items and Rewards

The Items folder will house any profile animations tied to your trade-enabled and trade-disabled higher tier items. Currently, this encompasses any exotic items, limited items, or auction items, and will be expanded upon soon for certain reward items from some of our core content like Plasma Corp or Complex, which will be housed under the new Rewards animations folder.

If you're unfamiliar with profile animations or just want to see how the new options will look like before you've gotten the chance to try them out, follow these steps:

  1. Open your profile and tap your character to pull up a list of animation folder categories
  1. Navigate down to your folder of choice, in this example the new "Items" folder, and tap or click to expand it
  1. If you own any of the items featured in this change, find and tap their preview to equip them on your profile
  1. All set!

Additionally, if you own any of these higher tier items, you'll notice some of the gun animations face a different direction to better show off their sprites. We'll soon allow players to rotate the direction of specific profile animations upon selection, so you can show off the angles you prefer best. We'll also soon introduce a sub-menu for selecting a profile animation based off any skins the original item might have. We'll be rolling these out for items that meet the criteria in batches, with the first batch containing profile animations for the following items:
