Era Auctions: 2026 Updates
Hey Era! We have a few changes to share regarding the future of auctions on Era which will be going into effect after the publishing of this blog!
Before we dive into them, note that the upcoming auction host will take place on April 4th, 2026 at 9:00 PM EST.

Host Lists for April 2026 and Onward:
As you enter the auction lobby, you'll be greeted by a new host list panel directly in front of the front desk:
Grab it, and you'll be PMed a list of all upcoming host items and the room they'll be hosted in before the next auction.
Going forward, we'll be putting together a complete host list in advance before each host and announcing it so all players know what to expect on the day of. This comes as a result of players often expressing disappointment with the items hosted during previous auctions as they've usually been decided last-minute or on the spot, after players have already lost sleep to attend or gathered G$ to partake in the host (There may sometimes be extra, unlisted items hosted from time to time if a host is going by too fast, but generally, the host list should be what players can expect).

Any new auction items will continue to be announced on the day of, depending on completion status.
New Layout and Host Frequency:
As you might've noticed from the image above, we've done away with the third auction room and retained only rooms 1 and 2. This also comes with a new host schedule: Auctions will now be hosted every two months instead of monthly, for a total of 6 hosts a year instead of 12.
This is due to over-hosting and the over-saturation of new and old releases. Before last year, hosts were far less frequent and new host items were released rarely. This kept new releases coveted and less common, gave staff ample time to work on new auction content in-between host breaks, and generally meant that when auctions did come around, hosts could go all out and feature some of the best items without setting player expectations that every new month there'd be an old returning limited item or newly made items being auctioned off. The reason boils down to sustainability.
We've also chosen to scrap the third room to make auctions easier to manage as hosts and to not spread participants too thin across too many rooms. Historically, the third room has always had the least amount of players during hosts which leads to price disparities, and keeping that third room also means it requires staff attention to stay on top of hosting within, both for the one running the host, and those in charge of the Twitch stream (For those who attend streams, you know that we're only ever able to cover two host rooms at a time on stream and the third room often remains off-stream).
New Host Schedule and Double Jobs:
Continuing from the section above, the reduced host frequency will also enable us to keep special items players get the most excited about in rotation without overdoing it with the frequency, while also giving players more time to save up in-between each host. Double jobs will also start to be hosted on a more formal schedule, with hosts being scheduled the weekend right after a double job weekend back-to-back.
Auction hosts and double jobs will soon follow the below yearly frequency:
