A major event has just landed on Era! Join in now!

Hey Era. We've just launched a major event for the final quarter of the year: Phoenix Event 2025 has arrived! Read on ahead to learn how to partake, how it works, and the sorts of loot you'll be able to obtain as you progress.

Disclaimer: This event features limited-stock item loot and will be the final Era release to ever feature limited stock items outside of Christmas and Black Friday, as Phoenix was the last remaining backlogged project on our plate that contained items of that caliber.

The event will be active from the publishing of this post until *December 17th, 2025.

*Note: Event's scheduling has changed as of December 14th. End date has been pushed a full week earlier given recent server issues. While Phoenix itself is unrelated to the recent performance strain, we want to avoid having too many running events at once this December to avoid potentially making matters worse. More information about it has been posted in our official Discord discussions.

HOW TO PLAY AND HOW IT WORKS

Phoenix is primarily a digging event featuring a boss battle at its core. What that means is that as you dig up shells, you'll have a small chance to dig up a Phoenix Warp Crystal, which can be used to warp into the Phoenix Arena to challenge a unique boss featuring new mechanics. Upon boss defeat, players will be able to claim a Phoenix Chest which can be unlocked to roll a series of loot at varying rarity tiers. Players will have unlimited chances to fight the boss and roll more loot.

  1. Stock up on shovels at any shell shop under the "Jobs" folder on your map.
Or you could trade for them, if that's more your style.
  1. Visit any beach or valid digging location and begin digging up the sand mounds that appear. Each spot dug up will carry a very small chance to yield a Phoenix Warp Crystal. (Note: You'll need the Worker's License to partake in this event!)
If there's player demand for it, we can temporarily safe zone more beach locations.
  1. Upon obtaining a Phoenix Warp Crystal, select it from your inventory when you're ready to challenge the boss fight, and use the item's special hot key to initiate the warp. You do not have to use it immediately.
You've seen this in the status of tons of staff these past two years, and now you know what it is.
  1. Once activated, you'll be warped into a narrow corridor. Use this time to reconnect, switch devices, and whatever else you need to do before walking up to the iron doors ahead and choosing to challenge the boss. Note: You'll be placed into a queue before you're warped into the arena! This is to aid server performance.
If you disconnect or warp out while finally within the arena for any reason, we can't help you!
  1. The fight begins. You'll be force-equipped the Phoenix Rifle and Phoenix Scythe for this fight. Learn to use them with each attempt at challenging the boss, and be on the lookout for the heal crystals that'll spawn throughout the arena during the fight. You only get three lives for each fight, so make them count!
If only you could throw Reo at the boss.
  1. Upon defeating the boss, you'll be able to grab the chest in the center. Each victory will have a chance to yield you either a common, rare, ultra rare, or limited tier item, and maybe a Phoenix Loot Bag or two! Your warp crystal will only be consumed with each chest claim, so if you die or experience any level-related issues before you've claimed your prize, your crystal can be re-used to challenge the boss again. You'll need to dig up as many crystals as you can if you wish to keep challenging the boss!

AVAILABLE LOOT TO EARN

Ah, finally, the part most of you probably skipped right to. Items, and lots of them. Around 30 or so of them actually, varying from common to legendary to limited. Hats and Phoenix Loot Bags similar to the beloved CNY Red Packet can also be obtained through Phoenix Chest drops! It's like Christmas before you know, Christmas! (Don't get used to it.)
