Snowman Building and Ornament Town 2025
Hey Era! Our annual Snowman Building event and Ornament Town's grand reopening are finally here! Read on to learn more about both events.
For this year's Snowman Building event, there are eleven hats and one rare gas mask dropped from slain snowmen, for a total of 12 new hats. Five of this year's new hats can only be obtained from snowmen built and slain specifically at Ornament Town.
Additionally, in keeping up with Ornament Town tradition, we've prepared and hidden a new batch of free hats scattered throughout the map and within the town's interiors! There are a total of 30 new hats to find this year. Can you locate and grab them all?
Heading to Ornament Town
Whether you're looking to start building snowmen or want to hunt for the new hidden hats, you'll need to first make your way to an Ornament Town warper. Each warper comes in the form of a giant gingerbread house, and there are a total of five across Era City. You can find an Ornament Town warper directly outside of each hospital on the map.
To travel to Ornament Town, grab the giant gingerbread house once the message above displays its opening status, and you'll be sent over.
Snow Resort and Snowman Building
Once within the map, you'll want to follow the dirt trail directly ahead of you until you've left the town's outskirts and gone past the town gates. From here, a large number of different shops and buildings await you, but you'll primarily want to head to the top right to the newly relocated Snow Resort building. If you'd like to make it easier on yourself, you can open your map within Ornament Town and search for it to see its map marker!
To get started with building snowmen, you'll want to first purchase a pair of Snow Mittens from the shop counter within the Snow Resort building. All mittens function the same regardless of look, so if you're not worried about cosmetics, you can purchase the new Fur Mittens for only 500 G$.
Once you've purchased a pair of mittens, you can travel anywhere there exists a patch of snow either within or outside of Ornament Town to begin constructing snowmen. Though note, a couple of the event hats this year can only be obtained from snowmen built in-town!
Once you've located a valid patch of snow, and assuming you have enough free space to begin constructing your snowmen, equip your mittens and begin by repeatedly tapping the attack button over the snow until you've formed a complete snowball.
Once a snowball's been formed, a special ability hot key will appear for your mittens. Tap this to drop your recently formed snowball on the ground. Once dropped, proceed to click or tap the snowball repeatedly in order to push it forwards. As it's pushed, it'll grow larger in size until it's ideal enough to form a snowman. The first snowball, the base of the snowman, is always the largest, with the two following it being slightly smaller than the previous.
As a tip, when tapping or clicking the snowball to roll it, it'll always move in the direction your player is facing, so use this to control its path!
If you've done it correctly, a pop-up like the one pictured above will appear on your screen. For each snowman, repeat this two more times until you've formed a full three for the snowman's abdomen, torso, and head.
Once all three snowballs have been pushed to form a full snowman, you'll receive the prompt above. Grab the newly formed snowman to decorate it, and wait a couple seconds. Some snowmen will go peacefully, but some will carry a small chance to come to life and become a baddy snowman!
Continue to slay these baddy snowmen, and as you go along, each one will carry varying odds to drop a unique hat. Have fun obtaining all 12 this year and thanks for playing Era!
